BHP Billiton has adopted VULCAN for the Olympic
Dam Expansion project (ODX) in South Australia’s far
north. This project will be the largest open pit mining
operation in Australia, rivalling BHP Billiton’s giant
Escondida copper mine in northern Chile, which also
uses VULCAN.

gone are the old days when some crusty old prospector went out into the desert and discovered minerals with the old touch, smell, taste test- or the I CAN FEEL IT IN MY WATER saying. What a terrific resource
