Bombardier Wins 60 MEuro Contract for Driverless Rail Line In Asia

Bombardier Transportation and local partner Hartasuma Sdn Bhd have signed a contract with Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) to upgrade wayside electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems on the Kelana Jaya Line in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Total value of the contract is approximately 87 million Euros ($119 million US). Bombardier’s share is approximately 60 million Euros ($81 million US). The E&M project is scheduled for completion in late spring 2009.
