Miniature Projection Technology advances with Major LED improvement

With the expansion of digital media now accessible by mobile devices, consumers need the convenience of larger displays.  3M scientists have developed a breakthrough ultra-compact, LED-illuminated projection engine designed for integration into virtually any personal electronic device.

The improvement in LED technology is happening on several fronts as researchers strive to improve out put, reduce power consumption and bring down costs

LED illuminated projection engine - don't you just love that name - always tell a 3M product - they have the most creative marketing people working for them - but most of there products are good too - and I'll bet this one is no exception - what a terrific and extremely usfull product - cant't wait to see it on the market

yeah - sure to be a graet product - just thinking back a few years to those old clunky first generation units - didn't we think that they were something else - progress is a wonderfull thing

so if i understand correctly - this means that - say a mobile phone with tv reception could project an immage up to 40 inch across - so instead of trying to watch a tiny screen - you could be watching a 40 inch screen - i guess that you just need to find a white wall
