Motivation: Top Tips To Get Better Results
What is Motivation ? A good question I hear you ask
In general – Motivation:
- Is the force which drives and makes you tick
- The drive that gets you fired up and then keeps you fired up
- The drive that gets you fired up and then keeps you fired up
- That high level of energy
- That high level of enthusiasm
- The fire that gets you out of bed in a morning
- The will to win – to be the best that you possibly can be
The Devil Is in The Detail
Generally – most of us have lots of Motivation and are very self Motivated and self driven.
BUT there may be times when elements of doubt can creep in to your (normally) very focused mind and you feel as though you have just hit a brick wall.
These could be caused by a whole raft of reasons.
Needless to say – It happens.
At times like these it’s good to have a support mechanism to fall back on.
- Communicate – talk to people – colleagues, friends
- Remember – When the going gets tough – the tough get going – convince yourself
- Balance – your life interests – your stressful projects – take a break
- Take more tea/coffee breaks and give yourself the chance to “pull back” and reflect on what your priorities really are
- You may need to – Learn to Eat an Elephant – if there is an overwhelming sense that the job at hand is too much
- Take one small bite at a time and completely devour – before taking the next bite
- Do you feel that you are in a hole and it is getting deeper – then stop digging
- Seek help when needed
