Driverless cars ready for soldiers

Clipped to the Drawing Board by Tony Elmasri

BoringInteresting

I'm sure that many of the vehicles I encounter in my normal driving (to and from work) have this feature

SITTING high in the cab of the hulking lime-green TerraMax truck , a driver can be excused for instinctively grabbing the steering wheel.

I'm skeptical, I'm sure that's all well and good while everything is normal, but how does it react once the $h%^ hits the fan (as has a tendency to happen in war like scenarios)?

And if it's running off software, which presumably would have predictable behavior then I wonder how long it will be until the opposition learns that behavior and figures out a way to use it to their advantage?
