Women forced out by long hours and sexual harassment

A macho culture of managers working long-hours and sexual harassment on sites is discouraging women from taking the top jobs in construction.
Dr Jacqueline Watts of the Open University interviewed 26 women in the UK who were or had once been in construction management. All said they were unhappy with either the struggle to balance their family and work lives or the sexist attitudes they experienced on site.
