I'm interested in seeing how this pans out. Are they going to introduce new procedures that will increase costs I wonder?

Or will everyone forget about this in a few weeks and nothing much will change?

Personally I doubt that anything will change. They will talk the talk, but they are not able to walk the walk. If established companies set up engineering and manufacturing operations in China and strictly enforce their standards, then yes it will work and there are numerous examples, but the vast majority of companies operate as pirates with no control Because the country is so vast and without established government lines of control, the further away from the capital, the more uncontrolled. Forget it -
