Traffic and engineering woes in the Zenith City

Did you know Trivia - Engineers are usually practical people; they deal with the possible. But, when they get their hands on taxpayers’ dollars, they often do too much engineering. Environmentalists are familiar with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ unofficial motto: “We’ve got all this money, let’s build something. Who cares if it diverts a river?”
The Minnesota Department of Transportation isn’t usually as spendthrifty, but its engineers show the same tendency with unnecessarily expensive plans for London Road. The DOT wants to spend $1.5 million to slow traffic on London Road and ease a bottleneck at 40th Avenue East.
