Did you know Trivia - Philips, the consumer electronics company, has created a pen which can show a writer’s actual emotional state during the writing process.
Sensors in the pen detect physiological factors like heartbeat, blood pressure, skin temperature, and finger pressure.
A small actuator installed in the pen, can change the properties of the line which is being traced out, by swapping inks and changing the shape of the writing tip.
The writer’s emotional state is then calculated by an in-built chip, which is also able to change the colour and quality of the trace
A Signatures is fundamentally the same, but some are signed with enthusiasm, others possibly with hesitation. Being able to record this could also be useful for historical reasons," New Scientist magazine quoted Philips as saying.
If the writer doesn't want their real feelings to be expressed, then there is always the on-off switch on the pen, which will turn off this function.
